• Profile Information: Vehicle type, MPG settings, and operational preferences you provide.
• Location Data: With your permission, approximate location to display nearby fuel prices and route weather alerts.
• Financial Data: If you connect your bank account via Plaid (Premium feature), we receive transaction data solely to categorize operating expenses. We do not store your banking credentials.
• Usage Data: Information about how you interact with the app, including features used, loads saved, and session data.
• Device Information: Device type, operating system, and app version for troubleshooting and compatibility purposes.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the FreightSync Services
• Calculate and display net pay, fuel costs, and route-based expenses
• Deliver live load data, fuel prices, and weather alerts relevant to your location
• Process and manage your subscription via Stripe
• Send transactional emails, including account confirmations and support responses
• Improve and develop new features based on usage patterns
• Comply with legal obligations

4. Third-Party Services

FreightSync integrates with the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

• 123Loadboard: Provides live load data displayed within the app. Your interactions with load data may be subject to 123Loadboard's terms.
• Plaid: Used by Premium subscribers to connect bank accounts for expense tracking. Plaid's privacy policy governs how your financial data is handled on their end.
• Stripe: Processes all subscription payments. We do not store full payment card information.
• Firebase (Google): Provides authentication, database, and cloud infrastructure services.
• Google Maps: Powers route mapping and mileage calculations within the Load Calculator.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:

• Service Providers: With trusted vendors who assist in operating our Services (e.g., Firebase, Stripe), bound by confidentiality obligations.
• Legal Requirements: If required by law, regulation, or legal process.
• Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
• Protection of Rights: To protect the rights, property, or safety of FreightSync, our users, or others.

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide Services. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS/HTTPS encryption in transit, encryption at rest via managed cloud services, multi-factor authentication on critical systems, and least-privilege access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

FreightSync is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.
